Welcome to my living room…that’s exactly what we do in the room we “Live” and do life.

I have spent too much time stressing about keeping this room clean! I have decided to embrace the truths of our household.

Truths:

  • Everyone in the house gets dressed and undressed in this room.

  • This room is where clean laundry piles form on my furniture.

  • This room is where we read books, study, do arts and crafts, and explore our imaginations!

I have been seeking joy in 2020 and have decided to embrace the chaos and make it work for us… hence our new laundry baskets in the living room. Labeled with everyone’s names, eliminating time spending folding, and freeing up time for this momma to do more life with my family.

It’s ok to embrace the chaos of your life.

I no longer wish to be consumed and overwhelmed with life’s never-ending chores but embrace it as an opportunity and find my gratitude.

My hope is to someday progress in the stages of having the kids help sort their laundry, then fold their laundry, and finally take the baskets to their rooms and put their laundry in their rooms.

This may be years from now, but one step at a time!

How is it going? Here is an update…

The baskets are still in use and have been a total blessing to my sanity.

I did clean out my laundry room and make space for the kids’ baskets instead of in the living room.
